До історіографії українського пресознавства: «Українська преса в Україні та світі XIX–XX ст.» (т. 1–7)

Abstract

Мета статті – висвітлити результати досліджень історії української преси, які втілені в семи томах багатотомного видавничого проєкту «Українська преса в Україні та світі XIX–XX ст.», підкреслити їхнє значення для вивчення історії української преси та журналістики. Для досягнення мети використано аналітичний, структурний, історичний, системний і статистичний методи. Аналіз історіографії питання дозволяє стверджувати, що, незважаючи на фундаментальність зазначеного багатотомного видання в галузі українського пресознавства, в працях відомих вітчизняних дослідників історії преси й журналістики вказана тема розглянута переважно в рецензійній формі та стосується лише перших трьох томів. На сьогодні дослідження реалізоване вже в семи томах, де удоступлена історико-бібліографічна інформація про майже три тисячі українських пресодруків. Розглянуто структуру вказаного багатотомного видання, здійснено аналіз його контенту, акцентовано значення передмов до перших чотирьох томів для розвитку українського пресознавства, означено основні віхи пресознавчого дискурсу вказаного часового періоду, здійснено статистичний підсумок зафіксованої інформації про пресові видання в семи реалізованих томах. Підкреслено необхідність подальшого дослідження історії української преси, зокрема в межах проєкту «Українська преса в Україні та світі XIX–XX ст.», що створює ґрунтовний контент насамперед для української гуманітарної науки.The purpose of the article is to highlight the research results on the history of the Ukrainian press, which are embodied in seven volumes of the multi-volume publishing project “Ukrainian Press in Ukraine and the World in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries”, and to emphasise their importance for the study of the history of the Ukrainian press and journalism. To achieve this purpose, analytical, structural, historical, systemic and statistical methods were used. An analysis of the issue historiography suggests that, despite the fundamental nature of this multi-volume publication in the field of Ukrainian press studies, the works of well-known domestic researchers of the history of the press and journalism deal with this topic mainly in a review form and concern only the first three volumes. To date, the research has been implemented in seven volumes, which provide historical and bibliographic information on almost three thousand Ukrainian press publications. The author examines the structure of this multi-volume edition, analyses its content, emphasizes the importance of the prefaces to the first four volumes for the development of Ukrainian press studies, identifies the main milestones of the press studies discourse of the specified period, and provides a statistical summary of the information on press publications in the seven volumes. The author emphasises the need for further research into the history of the Ukrainian press, in particular, within the framework of the project “Ukrainian Press in Ukraine and the World in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries”, which creates substantial content primarily for Ukrainian humanities.
