Інтердисциплінарний вимір студій квартальника «Богословія» (до 100-річчя виходу видання)

Abstract

Мета статті – проаналізувати інтердисциплінарний вимір контенту наукового журналу «Богословія» (1923–1943), органу Богословського наукового товариства, що виходив у Львові за редакцією о. д-ра Йосифа Сліпого; простежити проєкцію впливу Церкви на суспільне-політичне, наукове й мистецьке життя в Галичині. Актуальні питання сьогодення, пов’язані з унікальним досвідом душпастирства у час війни й державницькою позицією Церкви, спонукають до ретроспективного погляду на витоки сучасних процесів. Інтердисциплінарний вимір наукових розвідок часопису дає змогу з’ясувати роль духовенства у формуванні літературної мови, його внесок у музичну та мистецьку культуру, дослідження історії та філософії. Після Переяславських угод 1654 р. відбувся поетапний процес втрати церковної незалежності України, і цей історичний факт засвідчує (або візуалізує) взаємозв’язок історії народу та його Церкви. У контексті поліконфесійності національного релігійного простору не втрачають важливості висновки редактора про потребу «обрядової однообразності» як складової політичної соборності. Національну домінанту наукових досліджень засвідчує факт, що автор філософських нарисів, які склали за кілька десятиліть підручник з історії філософії, Микола Конрад (беатифікований 2001 р.) був також автором розвідки «Націоналізм і католицизм». Націоналістична концепція постає у цій книзі як найцінніший суспільний здобуток ХХ ст. за умови обмеження національного егоїзму християнською мораллю. Археологічні та мистецтвознавчі розвідки часопису пов’язують далекі хронологічно пласти, з’ясовують витоки та мотиви заснування митрополитом Андреєм Шептицьким Національного музею у Львові, роль Руської Трійці як передвісника Весни народів 1848 р. Праця греко-католицького духовенства над відновленням мережі пресодруків, формуванням наукових та освітніх осередків в умовах переслідувань польського уряду мала вагомий вплив на процес націєтворення й була важливим складником боротьби українців Галичини за свої права після поразки Визвольних змагань. Водночас публікації журналу – рецензування наукових видань зарубіжних теологів, інформація про участь у міжнародних релігійних акціях – свідчать про те, що українське духовенство стало невід’ємною частиною загальноєвропейського інтелектуального контексту.

The purpose of the article is to analyse the interdisciplinary dimension of the scientific journal “Bohoslovia” (“Theology”) (1923–1943) content, a body of the Theological Scientific Society, published in Lviv under the editorship of Fr. Dr. Yosyf Slipyi, to trace the projection of the Church’s influence on social, political, scientific and artistic life in Galicia. Current issues related to the unique experience of pastoral care during the war and the Сhurch’s state position encourage a retrospective look at the origins of modern processes. The interdisciplinary dimension of the journal’s research makes it possible to clarify the role of the clergy in forming the literary language, their contribution to music and artistic culture, and the study of history and philosophy. After the Pereyaslav agreements of 1654, there was a gradual loss of church independence in Ukraine, and this historical fact testifies (or visualizes) the relationship between the history of the nation and its Church. In the context of the national religious space multiconfessionality, the editor's conclusions about the need for "ritual uniformity" as a component of political unity do not lose their importance. The national priority of scientific research is evidenced by the fact, that Mykola Konrad (beatified in 2001), the author of the philosophical essays that made up a textbook on the history of philosophy over several decades, was also the author of the research "Nationalism and Catholicism". The nationalist concept appears as the most valuable social achievement of the 20th centuryin this book, provided that Christian morality limits national egoism. Archaeological and art studies of the magazine connect chronologically distant periods, clarify the origins and motives of the founding of the National Museum in Lviv by Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytskyi, and the role of the Ruthenian Triad as a harbinger of the Spring of Nations in 1848. The work of the Greek Catholic clergy to restore the press network, to form scientific and educational centres in the face of persecution by the Polish government had a significant impact on the process of nation-building and was an important component of the Ukrainians’ struggle in Galicia for their rights after the defeat of the Liberation Movement. At the same time, the journal’s publications, such as reviews of scientific publications by foreign theologians and information about participation in international religious events, show that the Ukrainian clergy has become an integral part of the European intellectual context.
