Консолідувальна місія журналу «Украінське Життя» (Харбін, 1925)

Abstract

Актуальність статті зумовлена недостатнім науковим осмисленням історії українського пресовидання першої половини ХХ ст. у Харбіні. Досі мало вивченими залишаються особливості функціонування цих часописів, мета їх створення, основні завдання, тематичні домінанти, ціннісні орієнтири, способи впливу на реципієнта тощо. Об’єктом розвідки є маловідомий журнал «Украінське Життя», який виходив у Харбіні впродовж вересня–листопада 1925 р. Мета статті — акцентувати об’єднавчу місію цього видання та з’ясувати його значення для української громади Харбіна. У процесі дослідження було виконано низку завдань: вивчено історію створення журналу; відзначено ініціаторів та активних виконавців цього пресового проєкту; проаналізовано контент видання; визначено тематичні групи матеріалів. Для проведення дослідження застосовано комплекс загальнонаукових та спеціальних методів: аналітичний, системний, контент-аналіз, контекстуальний, біографічний та ін. Наукова новизна: визначено основну мету створення «Украінського Життя» (на основі редакційних матеріалів) та з’ясовано його актуальність (за епістолярними матеріалами й відгуками в тогочасній українській пресі), наголошено на консолідувальній місії видання. У висновках відзначено, що журнал «Украінське Життя» був черговою спробою українців Харбіна заявити про свою присутність у Східній Азії. Результати аналізу контенту часопису дають підстави наголошувати, що він був покликаний стимулювати активізацію українського національного життя в Маньчжурії, сприяти об’єднанню діаспорців та їхньому інтегруванню в загальнонаціональний інформаційний простір. Консолідувальну місію журналу реалізовували матеріали (замітки, репортажі), присвячені висвітленню життя української спільноти в Харбіні, подіям українського суспільно-політичного й культурного життя на Буковині, Галичині, Закарпатті, в УСРР, а також у Канаді, США, Чехословаччині.

The relevance of this article is grounded by the insufficient scientific studying of the history of Ukrainian press publishing in the first half of the 20th century in Harbin. Peculiarities of functioning of these journals, purposes of their creation, main tasks, thematic dominants, value orientations, methods of influencing the recipient, etc., are still insufficiently researched. The object of studying is the little-known journal “Ukrainian Life”, which was published in Harbin during September–November, 1925. The aim of this article is to emphasise the unifying mission of this publication and to clarify its significance for the Ukrainian community in Harbin. In the process of the study, a number of tasks are made: the history of the journal’s creation is traced; the initiators and active executors of this press project are noted; the content of the publication is analysed; the thematic groups of materials are determined. A complex of general scientific and special methods is applied in order to conduct this research: analytical, systemic, content analysis, contextual, biographical, etc. Scientific novelty: the main goal of founding “Ukrainian Life” is determined (based on editorial materials), as well as its relevance is clarified (based on epistolary materials and reviews in the Ukrainian press of that time), and the consolidation mission of this publication is emphasised. The conclusions note that the journal “Ukrainian Life” was like one more initiative of the Ukrainians in Harbin to declare their presence in East Asia. The results of the analysis of the journal’s content provide reasons to underscore that it was designed to stimulate the activation of Ukrainian national life in Manchuria, to promote the unification of diasporas and their integration into the national information space. The consolidation mission of the journal was implemented by materials (notes, reports), devoted to picturing the life of the Ukrainian community in Harbin, the events of Ukrainian socio-political and cultural life in Bukovyna, Galychyna, Zakarpattya, the Ukrainian SSR, as well as in Canada, the USA, Czechoslovakia.
